How do we keep your data secure with Storage Share?

Our Storage Share file system is designed to withstand multiple drive failures at the same time. We use checksums to ensure data integrity and automatically correct errors. Additionally, we have created a high-availability cluster for instance databases to reduce the risk of a complete failure.

Can I use Storage Share with my smartphone?

Yes, there is a Nextcloud app for iOS and Android that also supports Storage Share. You can get the apps at the following URLs.

After starting your preferred app, input the server address. Then log in with your Storage Share user information.

Can IsabiCloud add the feature "x"?

We at IsabiCloud Online are unable to add any features to Storage Share because we did not design the software ourselves. Storage Share is built on Nextcloud's open source platform. You can submit a feature request by heading to the official Github repository: https://github.com/nextcloud/server/.

How can I create backups?

A backup is created automatically numerous times each day. Backups are always made to another host machine if the instance is not operating. If completed, a backup can be restored using konsoleH.

What does the "unlimited" storage quota setting mean?

An administrator can create users and limit their storage capacity. As an administrator, you can allocate storage space to your users in increments of 5, 10, 50, or 100 GB. Alternatively, you can create a "unlimited"-sized place. However, the "unlimited" space will be limited by the overall storage quota size of the Storage Share instance that you (the administrator) purchased.

Can I share my data with another user on a different server?

Yes, you can transfer data between servers using your Federated Cloud ID. You may discover your Federated Cloud ID by clicking on your profile image, then selecting "Settings" and finally "Sharing". You will then see your Federated Cloud ID on the right-hand side. After that, go to the share menu of the file you wish to share and select "Name, Federated Cloud ID or email address...". You can then input the whole Federated Cloud ID. An example address will look like this: "Admin@nx****.your-storageshare.de".

Can I use domains besides "nx*.your-storageshare.de"?

Yes, you can set up a subdomain on your KonsoleH account. But first, you'll need to get your own domain and set up CNAME records in the DNS. After that, select the appropriate Storage Share instance and then navigate to the menu tabs "Settings; Configuration; Subdomains" on the left. You can now access your subdomain. IsabiCloud Docs provides extensive directions.
